When Mick and I started this venture, “Riding the Americas”, we were doing it just for us (how selfish), but as the planning progressed and more people became aware of our adventure the requests to be sent updates of what we were doing and where we were increased; the plea to be included on email lists grew too! The website was born. The web as an information, marketing and educational tool is phenomenal and we thought that others could benefit from our site, so we decided to each include a charity and a couple of schools to interact with.

St. Richard's (St Dix) is the Prep school that my two boys when to before moving to Christ College Brecon (CCB) to complete their education.

St. Dix, for us was a school that really did feel like home. On our first visit we were met in the car park by a youngster no taller than 3 foot 6 who enquired that we looked lost and could she help us. Duly leading us through the school, being greeted by every youngster on the way, until we met a lady in the hall tinkering on the piano; she then took over the tour of the school. We visited one prep school and stayed; why visit more?

What can we do for St Dix? Almost anything, as longs as it's within our capability and preferably on the Americas ! It'll be a bit far to go to get answers from Russia or Africa just now; that might come later!
